A condusive place for those who are craving for Filipino food and want to feel at home. There is a resto at the heart of Greenhills Shopping Mall at the Promenade that I highly recommend. It's a place that you will surely enjoy not just the food but also the ambiance. Let me take you for a short tour and walk down the memory lane to show you the place.

Welcome to Cafe Reyes Bistro Filipino, with the name itself it means "welcome to the Reyes Home", a place filled with memories and welcome visitors to dine in and eat. The Casa Reyes is a restaurant that serves Filipino dishes with a hand over receipe from the grandparents but eventually Ms. Christine made a twist and did some improvisation to enhance the flavor. They are famous for it's barbecue but I tell you all of their food taste so good.

This is their second casa here at greenhills, the first one is located at Connecticut. And since the place is not enough to accomodate their customer, they decided to open the Casa Reyes at the Promenade. True enough we saw that the place was filled with dining customer.

Food "masarap na pagkaing Pilipino"

I must say they offer the highest quality Filipino cuisine. Why did I say this it's because everything is synchronized from the food presentation, plating, utensils used and the savor of the food. The flavors are enhanced that it brings a different kick.
These are some of the food we tried.

These last two dishes is my favorite, i really enjoyed eating it. I feel like I was attending a fiesta.

Drinks and Dessert is another bestseller for me. I tried the ube-halaya shake and I was like eating ube ice cream with bits of ube. Made from pure ube.

For the gelato i ordered suman-manga because I am curious with the taste. It's guilt free because it's not that sweet with bits of ripe mango and suman.

Salted egg bibingka cake, once eaten it melts in your mouth. You will surely order this again once you tasted it. Love it

Ambiance
It is filled with a lot of Filipino Heritage interior.

The place brings back childhood memories because of the equisite interior antique appliances, Komiks, newsprint, native basket and other decorations that made it classy. Everything is well coordinated. I really enjoyed looking at all the decorations and promise you won't be bored and wanted to take photos at every corner of the resto.
Thank you Ms. Christine Layco and your staff for the welcoming us in your Home At Casa Reyes.

So on your next resto visit do drop by Casa Reyes Bistro Filipino. From all of us thank you.

It is said that a company that has a heart are blessed. Some have advocacy program that has a mission, vision to extend a helping hand to those in need. And Globe Telecom with it's Gcash can help more people who are in need.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES. May 24, 2019 -GCash. operated by Globe Fintech Innovations Inc. (Mynt), today introduces GCash for Good, its corporate social responsibility arm, to further develop the GCash app into a more socially relevant and sustainable platform that will heip address issues across different levels of society.

GCash is weII-equipped to become a springboard for donations to non-govemment organizations (NGOs) that champion various advocacies, thanks to its scale and innovative digital platform.

With GCash for Good, GCash users can use the GCash app to donate to various groups to create an impact on society. This allows GCash to be a more inclusive and open platform that will help create better opportunities for millions of Filipinos.

“We have always strived to build a better financial ecosystem in the Phiiippines, and as a socially responsible corporate citizen, we want to leverage on our strength as a digital platform to help others create a better country moving forward,” Mynt president Anthony Thomas said.

Platform for generosity

GCash is mindful that people now prefer to donate online, as this removes the hassle of having to go through long queues and processes, and gives them more time to focus on their daily lives.

According to a study by Global Trends in Giving, 54 percent of individuals prefer to donate online, while the total volume of donations made online grew by a strong 12.1 percent in 2017.

Along with this. various research shows a growing trend in micro-donations and crowdfunding, with sites like Patreon and Kofi gaining massive support. According to Tech's Good. microdonations range between $0.25 and $10. This kind of donations, albeit small at a time, can make a huge difference once added up.

With innovative mobile money technology like GCash, people who want to do good are now empowered with a more efficient experience.

GCash for Good aims to create a community where doing good and giving back is open to all. Any amount will create huge opportunities for organizations that forward different issues. With GCash for Good, users will also have direct access to where their donations go. it showcases a more transparent and user-friendly interface for anyone to access.

“Our purpose for creating GCash for Good lies in our ardent desire to encourage generosity among Filipinos. We want to create more opportunities to allow people to give to and give back to the communities,” Thomas said.

Platform for the green agenda

For its initial launch, GCash for Good has partnered with Bantay Kalikasan, Haribon Foundation, World Wildlife Fund for Nature, and the Forest Foundation Philippines.

"Through its e-money platform GCash, Mynt aims to develop financial sustainability mechanisms that would strengthen biodiversity conservation efforts for these partner organizations. It also plans to proactively join campaigns that call for a ban on waste imports, deforestation, and waste incineration.

Together with these organizations, GCash is pushing for a greener Philippines, recognizing the huge impact that the environment has in the daily lives of Filipinos.

”We have a shared vision of creating a lasting, Iong-term positive impact on the environment. With joined hands, we promise to be strong government partners in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.” Thomas said.

GCash for Good is talking to other NGOs to push other pressing issues into the limelight with the hopes of generating more support for the fight for a better Philippines.

Platform for volunteerism

Aside from this, GCash for Good aims to create a space for Mynt employees to practice their advocacies and become partners for the change that it envisions.

'We want to be able to make a difference, and we recognize that doing good is not a one-man job. We believe that we should be working together for the better. With GCash for Good. we're making change accessible and easier for everyone,” Thomas said.

WHAT OUR PARTNERS SAY ABOUT GCash FOR GOOD

“Filipinos have a good heart. We have seen this time and again at Lingkod Kapamilya. They give even when they themselves are in need. Gcash for Good complements this admirable trait. It puts the channel for giving right in people’s hands. ”

Susan Afan, Managing Director, ABS-CBN Llngkod Kapamllya Foundation

“After a decade in development work supporting our social enterprises, I have seen the difficulties that non-govemment organizations face in mobilizing funding support for even the most worthy of causes. That is why I am excited to see what Gcash for Good can do for the development community. With more Filipinos feeling comfortable about giving online, Gcash for Good could be a game-changer. ”

Jeannie E. Javelosa,
Co-Founder, ECHOstore and GREAT Women /Director, ECHOsi Foundation

“The past few months have been divisive for the country, so this initiative is a most welcome change for all of us. To see that a company like GCash is working to create a community of givers is truly encouraging. It shows us that the spirit of bayanihan is alive and well in our society. We live to serve. God Bless to all stakeholders."

Fr. Anton Pascual,
Executive Director, Caritas Manila

“We are at a critical time in history when the impacts of climate change and unsustainable consumption could become irreversible if we do not act swiftly. The challenges that we face as an organization can be overwhelming. Knowing that we are not alone, that there are private partners like GCash who believe just as strongly in a future where humans and nature thrive, gives us hope that we can make things better. With GCash for Good, we hope more Filipinos would be more aware that every little decision they make counts."

Joel Palma, Presldent and CEO, WWF-Phlllppines

“We have always been a proud partner of GCash, and we believe that with GCash for Good, the concept of nation-building will become more accessible to people. Giving will be easier using the mobile wallet-even children can give to their fellow children who were left behind by our fallen soldiers. it makes doing good everybody’s business.”
