October was National Pasts Month and Dona Elena's Al Dente took part in celebrating it. There where talk on the different kinds of pasta, the right way of cooking pasta. Chef also cooked some recipe which we tasted,

The bloggers also participated in a cooking contest which we enjoyed watching. The event ended with the announcement of winner for the cooking contest and the raffle. Thank you because my name was called. The event was so fun.

WHAT IS DOÑA ELENA AL DENTE PASTA?

Doña Elena Al Dente pasta is the only Artisan Quality Italian pasta brand in the Philippines! It is sourced from ITALY, the Pasta capital of modern times.

·        Al Dente pasta lives up its name, as being “al dente” or “firm to the bite” - only pasta made from 100% Durum Wheat Semolina can be considered Al Dente!

WHAT MAKES DOÑA ELENA AL DENTE AN ARTISAN QUALITY PASTA?
Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta is made the Artisan way of making pasta – slow drying and not subjected to high heat – this method tends to preserve the food nutrients more than food cooked in high heat.

It is made using the long-held Italian tradition of making pasta using special bronze dies.
·        Bronze dies require much harder and higher quality durum wheat semolina in order to make the pasta – Al Dente is made from 100% Durum Wheat Semolina.
·        Bronze die leaves a rough surface that creates ridges on the pasta. These ridges help sauces cling better to the pasta, thus making it more delicious.
·       Also, the textured mouth feel of bronze die-cut pasta is also much appreciated by demanding gourmets.

Thanks for the wonderful experience till the next Pasta Month." Al Dente"
