Lately i read an article that there are hoops classes and they consider it as a way of staying fit. I'm glad because doing the hoop is like working out with fun same as dancing.
If you want to try there are scheduled classes for beginners and advance.Let's have fun while staying fit.
Same as the women i saw at the contractubex event held at posh nails in makati. we saw and heard different stories of women who have a scar but was able to move on in life and was not affected by the scar. The good thing was that they used a great product called contractubex that removes the scar caused by operation or accident.

contratubex event
She talked about her experience in having a scar but then she was able to move on because she used contractubex which made her scars invisible.
We also learned a lot from Dra. Anisette Cristina Librojo who talked about the different types of scars, the hypertropic scar and the keloid. Some of us are confused with these ywi tyoes of scars.
The evening was so relaxing because they pampered us by the services we had like foot and hand spa, manicure and pesicure. The event was hosted by Ms. Karen Golfo. They also served dinner for us which was truly wonderful.

Thank you for a wonderful day of pampering from contractubex Ms. Grace Mendoza Manager of OTC from contractubex.
Who would expect that a wound from an accident last 1986 will haunt us until now? Well it's true because we have experienced it.
My eldest brother loved to play basketball during his college days until the time he was working. In one incident he was sprained on his right ankle. When my grandmother saw that she immediately wrapped the ankle with a bandage with ginger inside. She said it will lessen the swelling. Little did we know that there was a tiny wound on the sprained ankle. The next day when the bandage was removed we were so shocked to see the skin so swollen and it occupied a big part of my brother's leg.The infection started to contaminate the inner flesh of my brother's foot that he had to be rushed to the hospital. All of us were so worried because the doctor said they had to scrape the infected part of the skin; since it was so deep, we had to pray that it didn't reach the bone.My brother underwent surgery and it was an answered prayer because they were able to remove the infected skin.
But it did not end there. After the surgery we had to go to the doctor every night to dress the wound for how many months.I accompanied my brother during the process and I saw his facial expression and how he bit a small towel every time they cleaned the wound.
Months turned into years and we had our own families...It was the second quarter of 2012 and my brother who now works in Cambodia went home every month and was always complaining of the small wound and the pain he is feeling. We didn't expect that it will
recur again,it affected him and his family emotionally because he could not focus on his work and was worried of the pain he was experiencing.Every time he went back they would go to different hospitals and doctors for second, third opinion because he was not contented with the result they were telling him.Since the skin was so thin and no more muscle to protects the bones, he needed to moisturize it.That was the advice of the doctors.
The physical scar also became an emotional scar because he cannot move on and wanted to resign from his job and was so depressed. We again prayed for peace of mind and that there would be development in the wound. It was an answered prayer because the wound dried up and he just dresses it by using NSS. He was able to move on with his life and continude to go back to Cambodia and work.
The funny thing about it is that during those times we don't talk about wounds or feet because we don't want him to get depressed again. It's like having a scare crow in the family that a topic about it is discussed we are so scared.Since doctors did not recommend any cream or ointment for the scar I will advise him to use Contractubex gel which i know will help him recover faster. According to some friends it is really effective.
After one year my brother went on vacation last June and he was able to recover from the emotional stress.Hopefully the Contractubex gel will help in healing the wound.

Where will I enroll my child? is the usual questions that parents ask and talked about when their kids are ready for school. As a mom the next questions that comes to my mind is, Is the school safe for my kids?or will they teach them to be competitive to other children? I am an advocate of homeschooling and homestudy program because I see the impact it gives to a child when it comes to studies, And it's a privilege that I can homestudy my kids but to other parents who are not capable of teaching their child because of work and other responsibilities I really don't know what school to recommend.A lot of times I answer bring them to a progressive school or international school because in my mind they have better curriculum than the other schools and the students are not crowded in every class.
Last May 9 I had an opportunity to attend a talk which really interest me. It's about anti-bullying and was conducted at Reedley International School. To my surprise they have this campaign against anti-bullying which is very rampant nowadays in schools, workshops, school clubs and organizations. They gave us an overview on how they implement this campaign in school. Mr. Emil Ong talked about the history of Reedley and somewhat the bullying he experienced while he was growing up.
Mr. Emil Ong
Reedley International School was founded by Mrs. Nellie-Aquino Ong in 1999, it is the first and only institution among the top schools in Merto Manila and in the Philippines to provide a unique international program that enables students to learn more with a less stressful, yet engaging and challenging experience.
Serving families for over 13 years, Reedley has ensured that apart from being at par with international standards. It provides a nurturing learning environment to it's students, thus producing happy and well-rounded individuals. Reedley is currently a Candidate for Accreditation to be awarded by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)-USA and a regular Member of the Council of International Schools (CIS)-UK.
I agree that Happy students are better learners, Reedley's Flagship subject, Life Skills, has been helping students to manage healthy relationships and work effectively by handling stress without sweating the small stuff. Life Skills uses The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and Happy Kids by Sean Covey as an anchor guide. In addition to Reedley's anti-bullying campaigns, the school integrates study skills, time management, and conflict resolution in it's curriculum.Since I also discovered that Reedley International School is a non-sectarian and respects each students belief.
Topic discussed were:
Common Types of Bullying
Teacher Nico
Coping Mechanisms
Prevention
Concept of Reedley
Headmaster Jerome T. Castro
7 Habits
Teacher Joyce Guerero
2012- 2013 Valedictorian Justine
Reedley International School Staff
The talk was so educational and interesting to both parents and educators.I hope that other schools will also have anti-bullying campaign in order to develop students who are will excel not only in academic but will also influence other people in their character.
