Yesterday we attended a talk on how to handle finances. The speaker was Finance Guru Chinkee Tan.It was held at Campus Crusade for Christ Bldg.and with attended by homeschooled families. The talk was very educating because it made us realize that we have wasted a lot of time spending instead of saving. At the same time it's so inspiring because we got some ideas from him on how to start saving now.

According to him we have to create, handle, grow our finances.Think about the long-term or future, students must start saving now because they still have no obligations. We were given a task to write down our expenses like the electricity, water, telephone, tuition. But we forgot the birthday expenses, instant party invitation which is usually not monitored.I agree with that.

There are also 6 steps to financial freedom that he told us.I know that these may not apply to everyone but we can get some ideas that will help us.For me it was an eye-opener for me to start again.I have been doing the eveloping before and it was helpful. But later on i got so busy.
lastly what impact me was when he told us that not everyone can be a businessman but everyone can be an entrepreneur. And all these things will happen if we put our trust and pray to God.

                                                                  Listen and be blessed!

Last February 2010 I was approached by a Global Pinoy Center  staff named Akimo. It was the day that my husband just left for his work abroad and on his way to the airport. I was informed about the benefits that we can avail while staying in the Lounge.Free use of computer so you can chat and communicate with your love ones, money exchange counter,  wi-fi, celphone charging station, and refreshments like iced-tea, and coffee.

GPC staff Nico with Mariah and Paulo

Ms.Tintin Bersola-Babao celebrated the 2nd year Anniversary of Parentin.tv a website that features different topics about parenting and family relationships. The event was held at Richmonde Eastwood Hotel last September 10. It was an intimate event that consist of a number of mommy bloggers. It is a privilege to be part of this event. I have been a Parentin.tv member since 2009 from the Launching at Lancaster Hotel ,1st year Anniversary at Megamall and now it's 2nd year Anniversary.Being part of the different activities that Parentin.tv had for 2 years is so wonderful.

This year's celebration is different, the Program started with a welcome remark from Ms.Tintin informing us of the new products she is endorsing like the Smart Step Baby Laundry products, the Kumare Klub and what to expect in Parentin.tv.There were also awarding of winners of the Parentin.tv Toddlers Contest and the Online Contest.Congratulations to all the winners!

Then there were speakers like Ms. Vanessa Garon from The Nazareth Formation House, she talked about The Addiction that can start from Early Childhood. There was a young lady and a young man who talked about their ordeal in dealing with it.They had to recover from computer games addiction. It was an eye-opener for me because it made me realize that my decision in homeschooling my kids was right. According to them they were influenced by peer or classmates. And I agree when they said that you have to know thw friends of your kids. They are still under the hands of The Nazareth Formation House it's a relief to know that there are people who are willing to understand kids that go through with this ordeal.

The second speaker was Ms.Zonita Torevillas-Tamase, with a topic Healthier foods Alkalinity. She taught us the different foods that contain alkaline and that fruits is really good for the body. She even taught us the proper way of drinking 8 glasses of water everyday. Then a healthy drink was prepare for us made from powdered moringa and fruits.

After the very educating talks we were toured around the Hotel by the Richmonde AVP, he showed us the different rooms and the amenities they offer for the clients. The ambiance was so relaxing even in the heart of Eastwood City.

Then Ms.Tintin is so generous because after the event she gave us gifts, the sponsors like Smart Steps, Ms.Zonita's Golden Cafe, the food by Richmonde Eastwood Hotel. Lastly the Parentin.tv staff. Thank you very much and hope to see you again
